Education & Experience
As co-founder, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Madeline Cassano (she/her) brings extensive knowledge and experience to the practice. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in LGBTQ Studies from Montclair State University, and a Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University, she brings a wealth of compassion and empathy as a therapist. Madeline is also specifically trained in EMDR to treat Trauma and PTSD.
Over the years, Madeline has extensive experience working with adolescents, families, couples, athletes, and LGBTQ identified people and their families in multiple spaces including school settings, alternative school environments, professional spaces, and private practice. Her focus is working with parents, couples, families, adolescents, and children who present with a range of concerns including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, gender identity, emotional dysregulation, postpartum, infertility, and athletic performance.
Approach
Madeline uses an eclectic approach of treatment that includes mind, body, and spirit to identify a client’s strengths, build coping strategies, and improve wellness. She supports clients and families using evidence-based modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Structural Family Systems, Gottman Method, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy. She creates a warm and welcoming clinical environment in which the clients work collaboratively with her to obtain their desired goals.
