Education & Background
LaKeisha Manigo (she/her) is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Social Worker and Certified School Social Worker. LaKeisha completed her clinical training at Rutgers University. After graduating, she continued to expand her clinical palette, by completing the Child and Adolescent Advocacy program at Montclair State University. As a clinician, LaKeisha has experience working with clients experiencing Conduct disorders, ADHD, Complex Trauma, Anger Management, Stress Management, Parenting Issues, Anxiety, Depression, and those individuals in need of Crisis Intervention.
Approach
LaKeisha prides herself on being an “out-of-the-box thinker,” offering solutions rooted in evidence-based interventions that will help clients establish and achieve their therapeutic goals. The therapeutic modalities LaKeisha draws from include Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. LaKeisha also applies concepts from the Nurtured Heart Approach and the Youth Thrive Framework with her clients. LaKeisha is a dedicated advocate with a solid background working on a wide array of family and systemic issues.
