Education & Background

Kim (she/her) graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, with an area of emphasis in grief and trauma. Kim has experience working with adults and adolescents, both individually and in groups: in schools (public and alternative), private practice, Residential Treatment Facilities, PHP/IOP programs, and community engagement on various levels. Kim has worked with those with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, grief, trauma, burnout, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

Approach

Kim’s goal in therapy is to help you feel welcome, accepted, and at peace while we sort out the challenges you are facing. Kim utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Grief Recovery Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In session, Kim uses an eclectic, strength-based approach, and often incorporates a holistic approach, and psychoeducation.
